Privacy policy

Effective and last updated: May 28, 2026

This policy describes how EventPass ("we", "us") handles information when you use theeventpass.com and related services. It is meant to help you understand our practices. It is not legal advice; you may wish to consult an attorney for your specific situation.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use EventPass, we may process categories such as:

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, profile details you provide, and sign-in method (for example, email/password or Google OAuth).
  • Event and ticketing data: event titles, descriptions, schedules, venues, ticket selections, registration details, order status, and related metadata needed to run events and validate tickets.
  • Payment-related data: when you pay for tickets, our payment processors (such as Stripe or Paystack) handle card and banking details. We typically receive limited payment metadata (for example transaction status), not full card numbers.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device/browser type, timestamps, cookies or similar technologies, and diagnostic logs needed for security and reliability.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the service;
  • Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • Process registrations, orders, tickets, and organizer tools;
  • Send service-related messages (for example, confirmations or support replies);
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms.

3. Service providers and sharing

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers to host and operate EventPass. These may include, depending on features you use:

  • Supabase for authentication and database hosting;
  • Stripe / Paystack for payments;
  • Resend (or similar) for transactional email;
  • Google when you choose "Continue with Google" for sign-in.

We do not sell your personal information as a product. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of our users and the service.

4. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and security requirements. Retention periods can vary by data type and whether you or an event organizer still need the record.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

7. Children

EventPass is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required for data collection in your region. If you believe we have collected such information in error, please contact us.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards permitted by applicable law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the "last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
